We will even have a “mother culture” event where YOU (moms OR dads) can relax and learn skills for yourself!
-
Community Resources: Discover local co-ops, classes, and services that can enhance your homeschooling experience. It’s all about finding the right support and opportunities to enrich your child’s learning journey.

Why Join Us?

This conference is more than just an event; it’s a gathering of families passionate about providing the best possible education for their children. It’s a place to find support, inspiration, and a sense of community. Whether you’re looking for new teaching materials, interested in learning about different educational approaches, or simply want to meet other families on the same path, this conference has something for you.
See you there!
Agenda
Throughout the day, tables will be set up with community resources and a used curriculum sale. See what classes, co-ops, and groups are offered in our area, or sign up to sell your own used books & curriculum! We will also have a “classifieds” style wall, where you can post any specifics you are looking for (“Mom in Feasterville looking for friends for a neurodivergent 10-year-old,” or “ISO folks interested in a nature playgroup for young children in Harleysville”).

9:00-9:45 am
10:15-11:00
Co-op leader mingle: Take this opportunity to socialize with and bounce ideas off of other group leaders - get ideas for dealing with common issues, see what has worked well for others, and find inspiration for next year. After a brief keynote address, lots of time will be given to mingling, kind of like happy hour networking. If you are a co-op/hybrid school leader or are considering starting one, this is a workshop you won’t want to miss!
Homeschooling 101: How do I start homeschooling? Can my child still get into college? Can I pull them out of school mid-year? Come to this workshop with homeschool mom and evaluator, Allison Myers, to hear practical tips on how to not just survive, but thrive in this journey!
Restorative Practices for a Peaceful Home: Learn to manage conflict in ways that strengthen relationships, empower individuals, and bring healing, not just punishment. Teach your children the gift of how to communicate in difficult situations.
11:30-12:15
Find Your Tribe Mingle Event: Do you want to find your people? Whether it’s friends for yourself or friends for your kids, this is your chance to connect with people who live near you, share similar philosophies, and/or have similar-aged kids. We are stronger together - come find your village!
12:45-1:30
What do Colleges Really Care About? Join Angela Landis, long time homeschool mom, leader, and current homeschool admissions advisor for Cedar Crest College, to learn about the college admissions process and what you can do to help your child succeed!
Homeschooling During the Early Years How do you survive homeschooling little ones, possibly with toddlers in tow? How much schooling do you ACTUALLY have to do? And how do you do it while keeping your sanity and even finding joy? Mary Call will share ideas and encouragement to help you feel confident in these early years!
Current Issues in Homeschooling: Do you ever wonder about the political landscape in our state and nation regarding homeschooling? What pieces of legislation are other states passing, and what might happen in our own communities in the future, that might affect us? What can we do to be active in the decisions being made? Join us for a riveting discussion!
Mother Culture (for dads, too!): Self-Regulating BIG EMOTIONS & FEELINGS through Art & Mindfulness!
As parents, we go through an array of feelings and emotions each day. It is on us as parents to self-regulate and choose to react & respond in a healthy way, especially towards our youth who are learning from us. In this class, allow Dianne Furphy, MS, Certified Life & Mindfulness Coach holding a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy, to guide you to be aware of your emotions and express them in a healthy manner by redirecting those BIG emotions into comforting feelings.
***YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN ARTIST to take this class. We will use simple art materials such as paper, markers, crayons and glue sticks. This class is designed for you to free-flow, to be mindful and to tap into your intuitive expression while self-exploring through creative mindfulness. When we parents are reacting to our own BIG emotions in a healthy way, our children can do the same. ($10 fee required)
